Advanced Placement students honored

At the Aug. 22 Board of Trustees meeting, Principal Adrian Ramirez honored students who received scores of 3 or higher on three or more Advanced Placement exams.  In the Spring of 2017, 96 students received an honor from the College Board for their success on their exams. Director of Educational Services Elaine Klauer noted that Baler students, for the first time, outperformed both the state and global passing percentage rates.

SAVE THE DATE: College Fair Oct. 26

South County Cal-SOAP invites students of all ages and their parents to the annual College Fair hosted by San Benito High School on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m. in the Mattson Gym. No reservations are required for this event. Students and parents from the entire community and from all over the South County region are welcomed. There will be more than 50 college representatives ready to answer all of your questions. We hope you decide to join us!

Mary Andrade joins HR team

The Human Resources Department is happy to announce the hiring of Mary Andrade for the  Human Resources Specialist I position. Mary has effectively served in a number of roles within the district over the past 12 years, most recently in the Educational Services department working with Long Term Independent Study, Short Term Independent Study, Home Hospital and Adult Education. Mary is a Baler alumna and the proud mom of four Balers, three graduates and one senior. As an active participant in our community, Mary has helped to connect community events such as Pink Out Day with our school.
